The novel revolves around the life of two sisters who both have a completely different personality to each other. As being the first born, Miranda has always been responsible out of the two sisters while Lucia, on the other hand, is more carefree but struggles with her mental health. The story tells us how both sisters cope after the death of their mother.
The French Girl is an exciting thriller story where a group of friends came back from a week-long getaway only to find out their next-door neighbour has gone missing. The police had no lead to the investigation, and the case eventually closed. A few years later, the group of friends has led separate lives however someone from their past came knocking back, and this has led to a suspicion that one of their friends may have to do with the missing girl’s case.
